Teacher Time Saver: Picking Up Groceries Faster

I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with maintaining a reasonable work-life balance during the school year. There’s always something to do and eating healthier is a particular struggle because I’d rather get takeout than grocery shop. However, I just discovered something that might help.

Today, I tried Walmart’s Grocery Pickup Service and it was so easy. No crowded isles, no screaming children, and best of all no long waits in line. I picked up my groceries at my designated time and it took less than 5 minutes.

If Walmart is where you normally shop, this might be an awesome time-saver for the first couple of weeks of school when things are so hectic. Use promo code RDYMFCOO at check out and you’ll get $10 off your first online grocery purchase. [Please note: you must spend at least $50.00 to use the coupon. Without the coupon code, an order must be a minimum of $30.00.]

This pickup service is free, but it may not be available yet in your area (a zip code search on the site will let you know). I hope this helps.

This is my 16th year as a high school/Early College English teacher. I completed my doctorate in Educational leadership in the Spring of 2013 and I have a dream of one day opening a school of my own. I love new ideas, so please feel free to share with me. I am not an education expert nor do I pretend to be. However, learning and sharing is my life and isn't that what teaching is all about.
